27th-ranked Rollins didn't drop a single set on Tuesday,
coasting to a 9-0 win over the University of Mary at the Bert
Martin Tennis Complex.
The win is the first of the year for the Tars as they improve to
1-2 while Mary falls to 2-6 on the season.
Rollins jumped out to a commanding lead after doubles, nearly
taking every game en route a 3-0 lead. The Tars team of Shannon
Etten and Carli
Davis along with the duo of Carlye
Goldman and Zoe
Monge both posted 8-0 victories while Johanna
Olsson and Teresa
Kaiser defeated Catherine Gibbens and Eileen Leong, 8-1, in the
No. 2 match.
Davis, Kaiser, Olsson and Goldman also cruised in singles, all
picking up straight set victories. Savanna
Fuller and Emma
Wookey joined in on the fun as well, with Fuller knocking of
Anastasia Bruss, 6-1, 6-0, and Wookey cruising past Shanna
Stevenson, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 6 match.
The Tars will be right back at it on Wednesday, March
2nd, hosting Seton Hill at 9:30 a.m. at the Bert Martin
