WINTER PARK, Fla. (December 10, 2016) - Rollins took a lead into halftime, but the offense sputtered in the second half as the Tars dropped an 82-72 decision to Southeastern Saturday afternoon.

Rollins falls to 5-4 on the season while Southeastern, one of the top teams in NAIA, stays perfect at 10-0.

Carly McLendon led Rollins with a career-high 18 points to go along with seven rebounds. Julia Ingler added 14 points while Marie Gilbert posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Five Southeastern players scored in double figures, led by 16 points each from Christin Strawbridge and Bailey Hooker. Alyssa Ramos scored 12 and both Jenny Dee and Trisha Jacobs netted 11.

HIGHLIGHTS AND QUARTER-BY-QUARTER ANALYSIS
First Quarter l
The Tars grabbed a 9-2 lead after the first four minutes as Rollins controlled the entire first quarter. The Fire came back to tie the score at 11 at the 2:58 mark. Jo Bistrow scored from deep to start a 7-0 Rollins run as the Tars hit the first break leading 21-20.

Second Quarter l
Southeastern took its first lead of the game early in the second and ran out to a 35-30 advantage with 5:34 left in the first half. Rollins responded with a 10-0 run, with points from five different players, to go up 40-35 with 1:57 left. SEU came back and tied the score again before a McLendon jumper at the buzzer gave Rollins a 46-44 lead at intermission.

Third Quarter l
The teams went in opposite directions in the third as the Fire offense started to heat up while the Tars struggled to find points. Rollins was just 4-of-16 from the field and 4-of-6 from the line while the Fire shot 7-of-17 and were 7-of-11 from the free throw line. Southeastern built a 67-58 lead heading into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter l
Southeastern went up by as many as 12 with 8:41 to play; Rollins would get no closer than eight the rest of the way.
