Rollins travels north to close out their regular season over the
weekend, playing a pair of neutral site games in Maryland. The Tars
will first face Shephard on Friday at Stevenson University and then
will travel to Arnold, Md. to play Seton Hill at Anne Arundel
Community College on Sunday.

Tyler
Thomas led all scorers with four goals, her 10th
game of the season where she has scored at least three goals, while
classmate Kristina
Coppolino had her second straight six point game, finishing
with three goals and three assists. Freshman Megan
Cury also scored three times and added an assist while Chelsea
Pinneke added a pair of scores.
In goal, Malorie
Olin pushed her record to 10-2 as a freshman for Rollins,
finishing with six saves in 60 minutes.
As a team, Rollins is averaging 13.77 goals per game while
allowing just 9.31, outscoring opponents on average over nearly
four and half goals with is 21st in all of Division
II.
Individually, Ty. Thomas is second in the country with 56 goals
heading into the weekend, averaging 4.31 scores per game. Coppolino
is second on the team with 27 goals and leads the team with 23
assists for 50 points. In total, six players have scored double
digit goals with Alley
Rhinehart joining Coppolino as the only players with double
digit scores and assists as the senior has 14 goals and 10
assists.
Pinneke has eight goals as a defender and leads the team in draw
controls (41) and caused turnovers (21). In goal, Olin is 10-2 with
a goals against average of 9.76 with 85 saves.
The Spring of 2015 marks the eighth season for Head Coach Dennis
Short, posting a record of 47-15 over the last three seasons,
including a pair of trips to the NCAA National Semifinals.
SHEPHERD AT A GLANCE: The Rams enter Friday
winners of four in a row. Their last time out, Erin Phelan scored
three goals and senior attacker Georgia Karr recorded three assists
to lead Shepherd University to a 7-6 win over West Virginia
Wesleyan in MEC women's lacrosse action at West Virginia Wesleyan
on Sunday.
Theresa Lang, Brooke Hunley, Courtney Matthews and Haley Price
each recorded a goal for the Rams. Price also added an assist.
As a team, Shepherd is eight in Division II in ground balls per
game (24.18) and 31st in scoring offense, averaging
13.36 goals per game.
Phelan leads the team with 35 goals through 11 games while Karr
has 24 scores and a team high, 19 assists. Kelsey Eagan has 20
goals while Courtney Schwiegerath has seven goals and 25 draw
controls.
In goal, Savannah Shores has started every game, posting a goals
against average of 9.06 with 69 saves.
Meghan Keelan is in her fourth season as head coach of the
Shepherd women's lacrosse program. Keelan has a 39-19 mark over her
career at Shepherd. Her 39 career victories are the most in program
history.
SETON HILL AT A GLANCE: Last time out, Seton
Hill defeated Bloomsburg University 14-6 on Tuesday afternoon. The
Griffins outshot the Huskies 39-20, for their second highest shot
output this season. The Griffins also shut down the Huskies'
passing offense by not allowing any assisted goals through out the
game.
Seton Hill leads the PSAC and is 21st out of 92 teams in
Division II in points (223) and is second in the PSAC and 5th in
Division II in draw controls per game (15.8).
Keagan Pontius leads the PSAC and is second in Division II in
draw controls per game with 6.40. Renee Kania is second in the
conference in assists with 40 (3rd in DII) and assists per game,
4.0 (2nd in DII). Kania is also second in the PSAC in points with
51, good for 21st in Division II and is 4th in the PSAC in points
per game, 5.10 (11th in DII).
Emma Simmers also has 51 points and leads the PSAC in four
categories: caused turnovers per game (2.40 - 6th in DII), goals
per game (4.0 - 7th), goals (40 - 17th) and ground balls per game
(3.50 - 20th).
Courtney Grove is in her sixth season as Women's Lacrosse Coach
in 2015. Grove spent four seasons as head coach for the program
from 2008-2011 before being named the first assistant coach in the
history of the Marquette program. After two seasons at Marquette,
Grove returned to Seton Hill for the 2014 season.
SERIES: Rollins is 1-0 all-time against
Shepherd while Sunday's meeting will be there first ever game
between the Tars and Seton Hill.
