ranked 12th in the country with 46 assists.
Schultz and Vonarb are tied for the team lead with 13 goals each
while Buell is fourth on the team with 10 goals to go along with a
team high 14 assists. Baker has 11 goals and five assists while
Petsos is 81-170 on face offs. Connor
McClellan leads the defense with 16 caused turnovers.
Chris
Lewis, who has been with the program for the past four years,
took over as Interim Head Coach on Friday, March 13th and will lead
the team for the remainder of the season. A 1988 graduate of SUNY
Oswego, Lewis brings more than a decade of coaching experience in
both football and lacrosse to the Rollins sideline
SAINT MICHAEL'S AT A GLANCE: Last time out, nine
different players scored while lifting Saint Michael's to a
season-opening 15-5 victory against American International College
on Friday afternoon.
Junior Jamie McGill notched his second career hat trick for the
Purple Knights, netting three goals, while first-year Brian
Loughlin totaled two goals and three assists in his college
debut.
The Purple Knights went 4-10 last spring, with five losses coming
to nationally-ranked opponents, and finished 4-7 in the
Northeast-10.
Returners include Luke Solms, a third-year starting defender, who
tied for fourth in the NE-10 with 20 caused turnovers a year ago
while scooping 38 ground balls, and Sean Curtin, a long-stick
midfielder, who totaled 19 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Tom Fitzgerald, an NE-10 All-Rookie Team selection in 2014, is the
team's returning leader in goals (11), assists (11) and points
(22).
T.J. Bicknell returns for his second season as the Purple Knights'
starting goalie after posting a .537 save percentage and placing
fourth in the league in saves per game (12.2) in 2014
A former player and assistant coach at Saint Michael's, Pat Ivory
is now in his third season as the men's lacrosse head coach in
2015. He also serves as the Intramurals co-director at Saint
Michael's.
