GAFFNEY S.C. (March 29, 2014) - The
ninth-ranked Tars fell behind early and never recovered, falling to
No. 3 Limestone, 18-5, on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Rollins falls to 6-3 while the Saints improve to a perfect
10-0.
Junior Alley
Rhinehart and freshman Amy
Martin both finished with two goals with Angelica
Perdomo accounting for the other Tars score. Caroline
Lamere recorded a pair of assists.
Katie Farrell led Limestone with four goals and an assist while
both Taylor Cline and Sarah Oor added three scores each.

three goals allowed. Sydney Teeter played the full 60 minutes for
the Saints, recording five saves.
The Tars found themselves in an early 4-0 hole less than six
minutes into the game before Martin scored her first to put Rollins
on the board at the 22:25 mark of the first half.
The Martin goal would end up being the only Tars score in the
half with Limestone adding six more to take a 10-1 lead at the
break.
The Saints' lead would grow to 11 at 12-1 before Rhinehart
scored her first with 26:07 left in the game. Unfortunately,
Limestone would answer with three more goals to make it 15-2 before
Perdomo scored her 13th of the year at the halfway point
of the half.
The sophomore's goal would spark a 3-1 Tars run, cutting the
Saints lead to 16-5 with 4:49 left to play but two late Saints
goals stole back any momentum that Rollins gained, ending the game
in a final of 18-5.
Rollins will quickly turn around and play Coker College on
Sunday, March 30 in Hartsville, S.C. at 11 a.m. Fans can follow all
