FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (September 6, 2013) - In
just their second match of the season, the Rollins volleyball team
took care of business as they rolled past the Virginia State
Trojans in straight sets. Rollins won 25-9, 25-9 and 25-12.
Rollins improves to 2-0 on the early season as they allowed
their opponent to score in double-digits on one occasion. The Tars
hit .379 for the match and held the Trojans to a -.107.
Senior Camille
Indest hit a career-high .636 on eight kills and 11 attempts.
The middle blocker also registered four digs, two aces, one block
and one assist. Freshman Ruth
Harrington continues to impress on opening weekend as she
tallied seven kills for a .412 hitting percentage.
Jessica
Wilson and Katlyn
Sawyer each chipped in with five kills apiece.
The Tars took control of each set from the get-go, never looking
back.
Rollins will look to continue the streak on Saturday, September
7 as they wrap up the 7th Annual Shark Classic. The
Tars will take on Pfeiffer at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 4:30 p.m.
