FLORENCE, Ala. (September 13, 2013) - Three Tars in double-figure kills led the way, as Rollins remains undefeated on the season with a 3-1 (25-22, 25-14, 23-25, 25-15) victory over Northwood in the opening match of the North Alabama Classic.

Senior Camille Indest registered a season-best 18 kills, to go with a .552 hitting percentage, five digs and three blocks. Freshman Ruth Harrington added 13 kills with seven digs while Jessica Wilson recorded 10 kills and a career-high nine blocks.

In a rematch from last season, the Tars (5-0) stepped up their game as they won the first two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-14. The first set went back-and-forth with Rollins taking a lead after a 19-all tie on a block by Jessica Wilson and Aroon Duncanson. Rollins then scored four straight points for a 23-19 lead on a kill by Ruth Harrington. Another kill by Harrington secured the first set win for the Tars.

Rollins cruised by the Timberwolves in the second set, winning 25-14. The Tars started off with seven straight points before NU scored their first point on a kill by Juliia Pakhomenko. She finished the day with a team-best 16 kills.

The Tars were unable to keep the momentum flowing in the third set and dropped a 25-23 decision. The start of the set was close but Northwood (2-3) gained some confidence and were able to extend their lead on the Tars on a kill by Pakhomenko. Rollins managed to come within two at the 23-21 mark on a kill by Camille Indest.

The fourth set was another close one for both teams but after a 6-all tie on a block solo by Indest, Rollins was able to push through for the win. Harrington secured the win for the Tars her 13th kill of the match.

Rollins will finish out the day with a 9 p.m. ET match against Missouri S&T. Fans can follow the Tars all season long on the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
