No. 25 Tars Welcome Warner in Home Opener

WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 17, 2013) - After two successful weekends on the road, the Rollins volleyball team returns to the friendly confines of Warden Arena for the Tars' home opener against Warner University. Rollins enters Wednesday's competition with a mark of 8-0 and ranked No. 25 in the latest AVCA Division II Top-25 Poll.

It's been 12 years since a Rollins volleyball team has begun the year undefeated. The last time a team started off this well was in 2001, head coach Sindee Snow's first season, when the Tars went 10-0. Since then, Rollins has made four appearances at the NCAA Tournament.

ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: The Tars enter Wednesday's competition with a mark of 8-0. Senior middle blocker Camille Indest leads the Rollins offense averaging 3.52 kills per set with a .413 attack percentage. Indest is also averaging 1.07 blocks per frame.

Defensively, the Tars are led by Collyn Welsch (4.00 dps) and Jessica Wilson (1.15 bps).

In their last time out, Rollins cruised to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-15) victory over host North Alabama at the UNA Classic. Rollins hit .212 as a team and held the Lions to a .048 hitting percentage. Camille Indest led the team with 10 kills, to go along with four blocks.

WARNER AT A GLANCE: The Lady Royals come to Winter Park with a record of 8-4 and are a NAIA program in The Sun Conference.

Marisa Moralobo leads Warner with 3.00 kills, 2.66 digs and 0.29 blocks per set. Chloe Boehm aids in the Royal's .254 hitting percentage with 6.54 assists per frame.

On the defensive side, Heather Lockwood leads the Royals with 4.83 digs while Tiffani Pate adds 0.76 blocks per frame.

In the Lady Royals' last time, the team suffered a 3-0 decision to St. Thomas University. Adrienne Czaplewski and Rachel Meiner each led with 11 kills, while Chloe Boehm added 25 assists. Marisa Moralobo and Heather Lockwood chipped in with 11 and 10 digs respectively.

THE COACHES: Head Coach Sindee Snow is in her 13th season at the helm of the Tars volleyball program with a career record of 241-183. She's led the Tars to a four NCAA Tournament appearances, including three straight.

Chrissy Moskovits enters her second season as the head coach for Warner. In two seasons, she's led the Royals to an overall record of 21-17.
