HICKORY, N.C. (April 21, 2013) - Caroline Lamere scored a career-best six goals to lead fourth-ranked Rollins past Lenoir-Rhyne 15-9 on a chilly North Carolina afternoon.

The Tars improve to 14-1 and set up a huge regular season finale against ninth-ranked Florida Southern on Sunday, April 28. L-R falls to 7-7 on the year.

Lamere's double hat trick is an individual single-game high for the Tars this season and is the most scored since seven by Marissa Giannerini against Regis in 2009. Courtney Bianculli holds the single-game school record with eight goals against St. Andrews in 2008.

Erica Pagliarulo chipped in three scores with Sophie Townsend netting two.

Mo Imel racked up five assists, just one off the school record of six set by Liz Connelly against Southern Connecticut in 2009. Five assists have been registered in six other games, including three times by assistant coach Katy Tyszko. Lamere also added three assists to her big day.

Elyse De Lisle earned the win in goal, allowing just three goals with four saves in the first 44:55.

The Tars jumped out to a quick lead, scoring the game's first five goals. Lamere had two scores and an assist during the span while Imel tallied two assists. The Bears got on the board with 19:02 left in the first before a five unanswered, three by Lamere, gave Rollins a 10-1 advantage at the 4:44 mark.

Hayley Beaty scored for L-R late in the frame, but Chelsea Pinneke got it back to give the Tars an 11-2 advantage at intermission.

Mary Minick got her second score of the game early in the second half to make it an 11-3 Tars lead, but goals by Tyler Thomas, Ginevra Czech and Pagliarulo extended Rollins advantage to 14-3 with 14 to play.

The Bears then rolled off six straight goals over the next 12 minutes and pulled to within 14-9 with 1:21 to play. Rollins, however, closed the day the way it started with an Imel to Lamere score in the final seconds, finalizing its eighth win in a row.

The Tars and Mocs are set for a 4 p.m. start on Sunday, April 28 in the final home game of the season. They met earlier in the year in Lakeland with Rollins winning 12-10. Fans can follow all the action live at RollinsSports.com.
