Rollins senior outside hitter Nikki Hartman was awarded to
the 2009 Rollins Invitational All-Tournament Team selected by the
participating coaches, Tuesday.
Hartman guided the Tars to a 3-1 record at the invite with sweeps
over Barton and Shepherd and a 3-1 victory over Webber
International. The only blemish of the weekend was a 3-0 setback
against No. 18 Minnesota State-Mankato.
A native of Deltona, Fla., Hartman finished with 57 kills,
averaging 4.38 per set. She finished with a .365 attacking
percentage and 47 digs. She's now second on the team with 89 digs
(3.30 per set) and attacking percentage (.321), while leading the
team in kills (115).
Hartman's best statistical performance came against Webber
International where she collected 18 kills and a season-high 19
digs to secure Rollins' second place finish at the tournament.
Joining Hartman on the all-tournament team were Minnesota State's
Brittany Stamer, Shepherd's Amanda Hall, Webber's Kristina Reeves
and Barton's Meagan Parrott. Tournament MVP was Ally Kwikkel of
Mankato.
Rollins volleyball returns to action, Tuesday, Sept. 8 when they
travel to West Palm Beach, Fla., for a non-conference showdown
against Palm Beach Atlantic at 6 p.m.
