Winter Park, Fla. (October 10, 2008) - Rollins picked up its fourth shutout of the season on Friday evening against the Lions from Saint Leo, 1-0. The Lions and Tars were coming off losses and both were looking for a hard fought victory.

The Tars were able to get the first tally on the board in the 18th minute and that would be enough for the win. The Rollins improved to 6-6, 3-2 in the Sunshine State Conference while the Lions fall to 5-5-1, 2-2. The win allows the Tars to gain some much needed confidence they only have one home game remaining this season.

Tars keeper Aaron Rokeach was the victor, picking up his fourth shutout of the year not letting anything through on 14 shots. The Tars defense was up to the task all night as they were able to shut down the spunky Saint Leo forwards.

The Tars attacked first as Blade Zych was able to get a perfect header past the keeper in the 18th minute. The assist came from a free kick off the foot of Jacob Deloach. That would be the only goal needed as the Tars were able to keep the clean sheet intact for the rest of the game.

The second half saw the Tars and Lions trading attacks, but neither team could put anything in the net. The Lions stepped up the pressure late in the game as Bruce Cutler fired a shot that richoted off the crossbar and directly down on the goal line. Rokeach quickly collected and stopped any further attack from the Lions.

The Tars will take on the Lynn University on October 15th in Boca Raton, Florida. The Fighting Knights are undefeated on the year and have been ranked No. 1 in the nation nearly the entire season.
