WINTER PARK, Fla. (December 8, 2007) ' Jackson
Nicholson had a hand in three victories and Kamel Tejeda swept the
distance events to lead Rollins in a 117-67 victory over Saint Leo
on Saturday. The win moved Rollins' dual meet record to 2-1 heading
into the holiday break.
Rollins began the day with a seven second win in the 200 yard
medley relay as Nicholson teamed with Colby Loetz, Jeff Mueller and
Carson Nicely to post a time of 1:41.99. Nicholson then went on to
take the 200 yard freestyle in 1:49.44 and the 100 yard
breaststroke in 1:02.18.
Tejeda took first in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of
10:10.28 while Daniel Paulling was runner-up in 10:45.62. Tejeda
also won the 500 freestyle in 4:50.42. Tom Alexander took first in
the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 49.32, just ahead of teammate
Carson Nicely in second in 50.03.
Loetz was runner up in the 50 yard freestyle in 22.57 and second
in the 100 yard backstroke in 58.80. Jeff Mueller was runner up in
the 200 IM in 2:06.12. The Tars finished the day with a victory in
the 200 freestyle relay as Brad Rubash joined Alexander, Mueller
and Nicely to post a time of 1:31.04.
The Tars will be back in action on January 5 at the Winter
Invitational, hosted by the Tars in Daytona Beach.
