WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 4, 2007) ' The
Rollins volleyball team was able to get back on top with a win over
Barry University 3-0 (30-24, 30-24, 30-22) on Sunday afternoon at
Warden Arena.
Stephanie Nichols led all scorers with 14 kills and 10 digs.
Christina Reinders posted 12 kills and 15 digs, while Lorena
Orlandini tallied 11 kills, nine digs and three blocks. Lacey
Malarky guided the offense with 36 assists and two kills.
After falling to two conference teams in the past two days,
Rollins came out against Barry fired up. The Tars only allowed the
Buccaneers the lead five times in the entire match.
Caitlin Shawver led the Buccaneers (11-19, 3-11) with 14 kills
and seven digs. Setter Maria Romanowski had 32 assists and Spenser
Rigg came in with 15 digs for Barry.
The Tars (18-16, 5-9) will be back in action on Wednesday,
November 7 when they host Florida Tech (20-12, 3-12) for senior
night at 7:00 p.m.
