MELBOURNE, Fla. (October 6, 2007) ' Rollins
carried their winning momentum into their match against Florida
Tech as they rallied past the Panthers 3-0 (30-22, 30-26, 30- 25)
on Saturday afternoon at the Clemente Center.
Senior Christina Reinders led all Rollins scorers with 18 kills
and a career-high 15 digs on the afternoon. Stephanie Nichols also
tallied a double-double with 15 kills and 16 digs. Lorena Orlandini
had a double-digit kill day with 10 and six block assists. Lacey
Malarky totaled 50 assists while leading the offense and Kim Cline
was just three digs shy of tying her career-high with a stellar 31
this afternoon.
The Panthers (13-8, 1-8) were led by Sasha Gumbs who had 18
kills and six digs for Florida Tech, while Frankie Brown and Mayne
Pegorari each registered 15 kills.
The Tars (13-9, 3-4) will be back in action on Tuesday, October
9 as they play host to the 15th ranked Florida Southern Moccasins
