2015 (Freshman): Ranked 1st in SSC in blocks per set with 1.14, and ranked 7th in blocks with 75 blocks… Appeared in 20 matches this season and started in 15 matches, including 64 sets played…Had 65 kills and hit .117 this season with an average per set of 1.02…Had a career- high of 10 kills vs. Spring Hill (9/5)…Contributed 72 blocks with an average per set of 1.12…Had a career-high of 9 blocks vs. Embry Riddle (11/3)…Recorded 24 digs this season with an average per set of 0.38
High School: Attended Seminole High School, where she graduated with a 4.6 GPA....In 2014, Sam led her team to Seminole High''s first District Championship in 11 years, defeating East Lake High School....Sam was named Female Athlete of the Year at Seminole High as she had a .434 hitting percentage her junior year and a .554 hitting percentage her senior year....Sam had the number one hitting percentage for all juniors in class 7A in the state of Florida during her junior year....That same year, she was ranked number three in total blocks....Her senior year, Sam was number two in the entire state of Florida for her .554 hitting percentage...Named All-District Honorable Mention her sophomore year and First Team All-District her junior and senior seasons....Tampa Bay Times First Team All-Region her junior season...Named the Most Improved Player her sophomore year and was the team MVP her junior and senior seasons...
