Biography

2023: Appeared in all 19 games making 18 starts. Led the team in points (86) (tied 2nd in the SSC), goals (53) (7th in the SSC), ground balls (44) (4th in the SSC) and caused turnovers (28) (5th in the SSC).  Finished 2nd on the team in assists (33) (6th in the SSC) and tied for 2nd in game winning goals (2).  Tallied 4 goals, 6 assists, 6 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers against Limestone and 5 goals (including the game winner), 1 assist, 4 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers against St. Leo.  Earned IWCLA National Attack Player of the Week, US Lacrosse Magazine Attack Player of the Week, SSC Defensive Player of the Week, All-SSC Tournament Team, All-SSC 1st Team, IWCLA South Region 1st Team, US Lacrosse Magazine All-American 1st Team and IWCLA All-American 2nd Team honors.  Named to the IWCLA Academic Honor Roll.
 
2022: Started all 17 games.  Led the team in points (77) (tied for 2nd in the SSC), goals (47) (8th in the SSC), assists (30) (5th in the SSC) and ground balls (39) (6th in the SSC).  Finished 2nd on the team in caused turnovers (25) (6th in the SSC) and game winning goals (3).  Tallied 5 goals (including the game winner), 3 assists, 5 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers against Flagler and 5 goals, 1 assist, 6 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers against St. Leo.  Named SSC Player of the Year.  Also earned SSC Offensive Player of the Week, All-SSC 1st Team, IWCLA South Region 1stTeam, US Lacrosse Magazine All-American 1st Team and IWCLA All-American 1st Team honors.  Named to the Spring 2022 SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the IWCLA Academic Honor Roll.

2021: Started all seven games at attack for the Tars… ranked second on the team with 14 goals… ranked second on the team with 10 assists… third on the squad with 24 total points… scored one game winning goal… picked up a team high 15 groundballs second on the team with eight caused turnovers… scored four goals in a win over Saint Leo… tallied five points, one goal and four assists, in the Tars’ victory over Florida Southern… earned IWLCA Second Team All-South Region honors… named First Team All-SSC… named to the SSC Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2020: Started all seven games for Rollins in the abridged season… ranked third on the team with 14 goals… paced the squad, ranking third in the SSC, with 13 assists… totaled a team best, and seventh in the SSC, with 27 points… went 3-5 on free position attempts… picked up a team high 13 groundballs… collected a pair of draw controls… cause four turnovers.

2019: Saw action in all 18 games for Rollins as a freshman… scored 15 goals… dished out 19 assists, second most on the team… totaled 34 points, tied for fourth most on the team… picked up 20 groundballs… caused nine turnovers… scored four goals and dished out three assists in Rollins 22-5 win over Catawba on March 18… earned spots on both the Fall and Spring Rollins Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

High School: Played for the Saint Dominic Academy Saints from 2014 to 2018… also played basketball, soccer, and ran cross country for the Saints… earned All-Conference honors for her efforts on the basketball court, picking up a Second Team nod her junior year, and a First Team selection her senior year… named Player of the Year for her efforts on the lacrosse field in 2017 and 2018… earned All Academic honors in cross country… member of the Key Club.

Personal: Daughter of Leslie Klenk and Paul Gastonguay… has plans to major in mathematics… mother, Leslie, played lacrosse at UVA… father, Paul, played tennis at Bates College and played professionally… career goals include becoming an animal behaviorist and working on wildlife conservation methods… chose Rollins for the location, lacrosse team, and academics.
