Assistant Coach Since: 2026-27

Jonathan Castillo brings more than 15 years of coaching experience to his role as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Rollins College, with an established background across AAU, high school, prep school, and collegiate basketball.

Born and raised in New York City, Castillo later moved to Central Florida and graduated from Timber Creek High School in Orlando. Following high school, he continued his basketball career at The Sage College of Albany before transitioning directly into coaching.

Castillo began his coaching career with the EYSF Panthers AAU program, where he worked his way from assistant coach to head coach while helping numerous student-athletes achieve their goal of playing college basketball. He later coached at Colonial High School before joining the staff at Timber Creek High School, where he helped guided the program to a district championship.

Castillo returned to his alma mater, Cardigan Mountain School, as Director of Basketball Operations, overseeing all aspects of the basketball program, including recruiting, player development, and daily operations.

He later joined the girl's basketball coaching staff at Hagerty High School, helping develop the conference Player of the Year before making the transition to the collegiate level as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Florida Tech.

Known for his offensive-minded philosophy, analytics-driven approach, player development, relationships and recruiting, Castillo has built a reputation as a respected coach and mentor in the Central Florida area throughout his career and now continues that trajectory at Rollins College.

Castillo resides in Sanford, Florida, with his wife, Alex, and their two children, Avery and Ashton.
