Christine Roser-LeFevers

On Monday, October 18, 2021, Rollins Director of Athletics Pennie Parker announced Christine Roser-LeFevers as the 10th head coach in the history of the Tars softball program.

She made an instant impact on the program with a NCAA tournament berth in 2022, going 1-2 in the South Regional. Five Tars ... Raiven Bryant (1st), Chelsea Peace (1st), Ashley Worrell (1st), Ashley Troutman (2nd), and Grace Germer (2nd) were named All-SSC. Worrell was also the SSC Pitcher of the Year. Furthermore, Worrell and Peace were named 1st Team All-South Region, with Bryant earning 2nd Team as well. Worrell also added a 3rd Team All-American notch to her belt to wrap up the awards.

In 2023, the Tars won 32 games, and shortstop Ashley Troutman was named the SSC Player of the Year and a 2nd Team All-American. She was joined on the All-SSc team by Taylor Waters. 

The 2024 season saw the Tars sitting in the Top 25 poll almost all season long, but they were not given a spot in the NCAA tournament. Still, five ladies made the All-SSC team, led by Worrell and Germer on the first team and Sarah Young, Brie Michelli, and Taylor Waters on the second team. Worrell also picked up a 1st Team South Region nod. 

Roser-LeFevers joined the Tars staff after two years as head coach at Mars Hill College in North Carolina. During her tenure wth the Lions, the team went 16-33 as they battled through challenges caused by the pandemic. Still, she was able to help two players named to the SAC All-Conference team.

Prior to her stint at Mars Hill, she was an assistant coach at Queens University in Charlotte. Christine helped the Royals to three straight South Atlantic Conference championship appearances, and one NCAA South Regional appearance. During her time, the Royals set a new mark for success with 35 wins in 2018, and entered the national poll for the first time. Roser-LeFevers coached 11 NFCA Academic All-Americans, 12 All-SAC honorees, three SAC All-Tournament team players, and two Academic All-District selections. 

Roser-LeFevers was also the assistant coach at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida for the 2014-15 season helping the team amass a 51-9 record which ranked second in the state of Florida and fourth in the nation in the last NJCAA regular-season poll of 2015. While in Orlando, Roser-LeFevers also served as an elite instructor at ProSwings, LLC, where she conducted lessons for pitching, hitting, catching, fielding, and speed and agility for age groups ranging from 6 to 21 years old.

Roser-LeFevers is no stranger to Rollins. She graduated in 2011 as the most decorated softball player in team history. She led the team to three consecutive Sunshine State Conference championships from 2009-2011, and played in the NCAA postseason all four years at Rollins. She also collected numerous individual accolades. At the conference level, she was named the 2008 Freshman of the Year and earned four first-team All-SSC selections. On a national scale, she was named the Diamond Catcher of the Year in both 2009 and 2011, a two-time NFCA All-American (2009, 2011), NFCA and Daktronics All-South Region, and the Daktronics South Region Player of the Year in 2011, Upon her graduation in 2011, she was the Tars' all-time leader in hits, doubles, home runs, RBI, and runs.

Roser-LeFevers graduated from Rollins in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is currently studying at the University of West Alabama, where she was a graduate assistant from 2012-13, obtaining a master's degree in continuing education-college student development.
