For the past three decades, Joe Raymond has been the spirit of Rollins' soccer tradition and enters his 31th year as the Tars goalkeeper coach in 2019.

A legend between the posts for the Tars as a player, he was inducted in the Rollins Sports Hall of Fame in March 2012 for his service to the College both on and off the field.

Raymond has mentored some of the best goalkeepers in Rollins history, including 2003 All-America selection Justin Corrado for the men and 2011 Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year Michelle Dillingham for the Tars women. Statistically, Corrado ranks only behind Raymond on the list of Rollins all-time best keepers while Dillingham became not only the best stopper in women's program history, but one of the best in Division II.

Raymond's leadership has been instrumental in the recent, unprecedented success of both Rollins men's and women's soccer. The Tars are one of the hardest teams to score on year in and year out, while continuing to collect trophies. Since 2003, the men have won four Sunshine State Conference titles, four SSC Tournaments, collected and a national runner-up finish in 2010. During the same span, the women won a pair of SSC titles, two SSC tournaments, and have also reached a national championship game.

Raymond's legend started as a player for the Tars from 1981-84. He is second in the program history in career shutouts (22.33) and saves (393). He was Second Team All-SSC in 1984 while earning All-South Region honors in 1982 and 1983. Not showing up on the box score was Raymond's leadership and spirited play that defined the Tars success.

Still playing competitive soccer with other Rollins alumni, Raymond currently owns his own consulting company in Winter Park.  Throughout the years he has made many generous contributions to the Rollins soccer program.

Raymond married his college sweetheart Vicky and they have three children, Julianne, Michelle, and Joseph.
