High School:  Played attack and midfield for the Ponte Vedra Sharks... played one year at Nease High School, and finished his high school career at Ponte Vedra... helped the Nease Panthers to District and Regional Championships, and played a role in helping Ponte Vedra to District and Regional Championships his sophomore season... named First Team All-District and All-Region his junior and senior seasons... played in the ESPN Rise Champion High School Showcase... named Ponte Vedra Senior Athlete of the Year, and 2010 Offensive MVP... member of the Florida Possums club team, and Team Florida.

Personal:  Born June 25, 1992... son of Beth and Rick Newell... has a brother, Grant... father, Rick, played golf for James Madison University... majoring in International Business.
