Biography

Great athlete with natural ability. Second year with the sport but able to use his athleticism and intensity to make up for the learning curve.  Will be expected to keep up the momentum this season.

2009:  Saw time in five games his sophomore season... collected two ground balls... was an integral part of the midfield transition in his time on the field...

2008: Started in nine games and played in 14... earned a starting position on the team after showing coaches that his intense play and energy on the field was an asset for the Tars.  His dynamic playing personality made him an integral part of the team in all facets...  scored first goal of his lacrosse career against Franklin Pierce on March 16, 2008... Collected 13 ground balls and caused four turnovers for the Tars... was a big presence on defense with face guarding and man to man situations.

High School: Four year letterwinner in both baseball and football at Riverdale Country School. Played behind the plate at catcher and quarterback for the Falcons. Captained both teams his senior year. Recipient of the Frank Bertino Award and the Coach Bonapart Award, and was an Ivy-League All-Star...

Personal: Born November 25, 1988... Son of Mitchell Alfus and Therese Poulsen...  Grandfather, Albert Alfus, played baseball for the Giants... has two sisters, Mila and Sofi...  majoring in Critical Media and Cultural Studies.
