Kyle Frakes has been the face of Rollins men's golf for the past three decades. 

Frakes has led Tars men's golf to 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 2002 NCAA Championship and a national runner-up finish in 2003. The Tars finished third in 1997, and fourth in 1995 and 2001. He has been named the Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year four times, and the NCAA Division II Coach of the Year twice. Since 2000, fourteen of Frakes' golfers have been selected as All-Americans. He has coached seven first team All-Americans, including Rollins Hall of Famer Rob Oppenheim (2000, 2001, 2002), Alex Smith (2002, 2003), Lee Stroever (2001, 2003) and Dan Walters (2005, 2006).

In addition, Frakes has seen 29 student-athletes earn All-SSC recognition. Under his tutelage, Oppenheim and Smith players were named SSC Player of the Year, while Jeff Walker and Oppenheim also claimed SSC Freshman of the Year honors. 

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Assistant coach since: 1990
As the assistant men's basketball coach and a mainstay next to head coach Tom Klusman, Frakes has been part of the program for its most successful seasons. He has helped the Tars win eight Sunshine State Conference regular season championships and make ten trips to the NCAA Tournament. In 2004, under the guidance of Klusman and Frakes, the Tars reached the NCAA Division II Elite Eight for the first time. The Tars again reached the Elite Eight in 2017. Frakes oversees practice plans and player instruction while also assisting with recruiting efforts for the Tars hoops program.
