2014 (Senior): In his final season with Rollins, Okazaki appeared and started in 43 games…ended the season with a .244 batting average with a team second-best 38 hits…recorded nine multi-hit games and a team-best five multi-RBI games…scored 19 runs on the year and drove in a team second-best 19…matched a career-high three hits against West Florida (2/8) as he scored one run and recorded one RBI…posted a .256 slugging percentage and a .304 on base percentage…ended the season on a five-game hit streak…went 2-for-5 with one run against Nova Southeastern (5/3)…notched two hits against Florida Tech (4/5) with a career-high two RBI and one stolen base…second on the team in sacrifice hits (5)…was the 158th toughest to strikeout player in the country, which also ranked eighth in the SSC...Fall Athletic Director''s Honor Roll
2013 (Junior): Started in 43 games for the Tars in 44 appearances in the middle infield...finished his first season with a .233 batting average, along with a .342 on base percentage and a .256 slugging...led the team in sacrifice bunts (7), tied for third in hit-by-pitches (5) and was fourth in walks (17)...went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs, one RBI and one stolen base against Assumption (3/8) during Baseball Week...registered a season-best three hits against Barry (4/5) ith one run and one RBI...recorded six multiple-hit games.
(Prior to Rollins - UConn-Avery Point): Played two seasons for the Pointers...had a standout sophomore season where he was named Defensive Player of the Year...batted a .369 clip with 48 hits with 11 doubles, was a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen bases...scored 52 runs while driving in 20...was awarded 24 bases and recorded 13 hit-by-pitches...posted a .494 on-base percentage, to go along with a .996 fielding percentage (171 putouts, 58 assists, 1 error).
High School: Played all but two positions at Greenwich High School...during his senior year, the Cardinals reached the conference finals en route to the state quarter finals...three-time All-District selection beginning sophomore season...named Team MVP his junior and senior campaign; was also designated team captain his senior year...batted above a .300 average his final three seasons...played for Team Connecticut under the direction of Mike McGuire and Peter Zabroski.
