CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Tars took to the water at the SAISA Match Race Championship this weekend in Charleston, competing in the conference championship aboard J-22s in a single-division scoring format.
Seven SAISA teams hit the water Saturday in an 8–13 knot northerly breeze. With unfavorable conditions in the forecast for Sunday, the field completed the Stage 1 round robin before continuing through the remainder of the championship on Saturday. College of Charleston ultimately claimed the title, earning the conference's berth to the ICSA Match Race National Championship.
Rollins finished fifth in the competition with a 2-4 record.

Caleb Kinnear,
Soleil Aurignac, and
Cameron Kinnear, who rotated as crew throughout the championship.
The Tars fell to South Florida and Miami in their opening two flights before breaking through with a win over Tennessee. Rollins then dropped its next two matchups against Jacksonville and host College of Charleston before closing out the round robin with a victory over Central Florida.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Rollins was also represented at the JAX Open over the weekend, competing in the fundamental regatta aboard FJs in a two-division format. The Tars finished third in the 10-team field with 25 points, tallying 10 in A Division and 15 in B.

Mollie Wood finished inside the top four in all four races. The duo opened with a fourth-place result before closing the regatta with three consecutive runner-up finishes.
Jack Adderley served as skipper in B Division, opening the regatta alongside crew
Alexander Goldsmith. The duo came out strong with victories in each of the first two races.
Sam Frushone took over as crew for the final two races, helping the Tars to a runner-up finish in the third before a DSQ in the final race of the event.
Rollins returns to the water next weekend, October 3, for the Charleston Fall Intercollegiate and the Women's ACC Round 1.
