GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Rollins women's rowing team closed out competition at the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Rowing Championship on Friday at Lake Lanier Olympic Park against the top Division II programs in the nation.
The Tars opened the regatta in Heat Two of the Eights against Seattle Pacific and Cal Poly Humboldt. Rollins clocked a final time of 7:12.188 to place third in the heat. The Tars posted splits of 1:44.830 at 500 meters, 3:33.090 at the halfway point, and 5:22.528 through 1,500 meters. Seattle Pacific won the heat in 6:44.764, while Humboldt followed in 6:53.504.

In the Four Heat Two, Rollins battled Jefferson and Cal Poly Humboldt, finishing third with a time of 7:51.635. The Tars stayed within striking distance throughout the race, recording splits of 1:54.810, 3:53.110, and 5:52.226. Humboldt crossed first in 7:43.087, while Jefferson finished second in 7:46.253.

The Tars bounced back in the afternoon finals with a victory in the Division II Four Petite Final. Rollins pulled away from Seattle Pacific to win by more than nine seconds, finishing in 7:54.081 compared to Seattle Pacific's 8:03.291. The Tars jumped out to a lead and held throughout the race with splits of 1:56.550, 3:57.060, and 5:56.812 to extend the distance and close out the win.
Rollins also competed in the Division II Eight Final 2 against Jefferson. The Tars placed second with a time of 7:16.330, trailing Jefferson's winning pace of 7:04.994. Rollins recorded splits of 1:49.990, 3:39.820, and 5:29.233 during the race.
The Tars conclude the 2026 season after qualifying for the NCAA Championship regatta for the second consecutive year.
