WINTER PARK, Fla. - Rollins College women's basketball welcomed
Caroline Swartz to the coaching staff as a full-time assistant coach in May 2026, following one season as a graduate assistant and a four-year playing career with the Tars.
Swartz made program history as the first three-year team captain in program history and appeared in 73 games from 2021–25, totaling 89 points, 72 rebounds, 62 assists, and 21 steals. She also earned Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition in each of her four seasons.
A dependable contributor throughout her collegiate career, Swartz posted career highs during her senior season with 28 minutes played, seven rebounds, and four assists in a game, while recording a career-best eight points as a freshman. She also had the opportunity to play under legendary head coach
Glenn Wilkes Jr. during his 750th career victory.
Following her playing career, Swartz transitioned to a graduate assistant role, where she played an integral part in player development and recruiting, coordinated strength and conditioning, managed team operations, oversaw the program's social media presence, and served as the team's academic advisor. She will continue in a similar capacity as a full-time assistant coach.
A 2025 graduate of Rollins College with a degree in psychology, Swartz became a double alumna in May 2026 after earning her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in data analytics.
Head coach
Glenn Wilkes Jr. on hiring Swartz:
"The decision to hire Caroline was an easy one. She is the only former Rollins player to serve as a team captain for three years. She had an outstanding stint as our graduate assistant last year and is very familiar with the school, the basketball program, and the culture we stand for. She has already proven to be a great recruiter and is exceptionally well prepared with her knowledge of the game. Her integrity and work ethic are second to none, and I'm proud that she has continued her leadership with our team."
