FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (February 25, 2026) – Rollins women's basketball fell in its regular season finale Wednesday night, dropping a 99–50 decision to No. 9 Nova Southeastern.
The Sharks struck first, but
Elaina Kline-Ruminski quickly answered with a jumper to get the Tars on the board. Nova responded with a pair of baskets before Kline-Ruminski connected again from midrange. The Sharks' press fueled another surge, yet Kline-Ruminski continued to answer, finishing a layup before
Faith Newton added a jumper of her own. Kline-Ruminski then knocked down a three to pull Rollins within one. After another Nova bucket,
Claire Erickson stepped into a triple to tie the game. The Sharks responded with a three of their own and added another score to gain separation.
Grace Craig and
McKenna Murphy each finished inside to keep the Tars within reach, but a late NSU push sent the Sharks into the second quarter with a 28–18 lead.
Nova's pressure intensified in the second, as the Sharks rattled off 21 unanswered points to extend the advantage.
Tara Murray broke the run with a three off the bench, and
Victoria Escribano added a basket in the lane. Murray followed with another three off a turnover forced on defense to close out Rollins scoring in the half, though the Sharks carried a 53–26 lead into the break.
The Sharks opened the third with another basket before Erickson responded with a layup. Newton added a jumper to steady the offense during a brief lull in scoring. Nova continued to chip away, but Erickson and Kline-Ruminski each added finishes to keep the Tars competing. A late Shark bucket pushed the margin to 73–34 heading into the final frame.
Kline-Ruminski opened the fourth with a three, and Escribano followed with points at the line. Kline-Ruminski added two more from the stripe, and
Makayla Daube converted one at the free-throw line. Murray later knocked down a jumper midway through the quarter, and Escribano added a pair of baskets inside alongside free throws from Erickson to round out the scoring as Nova secured the 99–50 win.
Kline-Ruminski led Rollins with 16 points and five rebounds. Escribano recorded nine points and a team-high 11 boards, while Erickson and Murray each added eight, with Erickson pacing the team with three assists. Rollins shot 34.5% from the field and tallied 18 points in the paint.
Rollins closes the 2025–26 season at 7–20 overall and 2–18 in SSC play, while Nova Southeastern improves to 24–3 (16–3 SSC). The Tars will return to action for the 2026–27 campaign next fall.
