CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Tars took to the water for the Charleston Fall Interconference this weekend, competing in the cross-regional regatta aboard 420s in a two-division scoring format.
Jack Adderley served as skipper alongside crew
Alexander Goldsmith in A Division, with the duo tallying 73 points. Adderley and Goldsmith finished inside the top 10 in five of the eight races, highlighted by a fifth-place result in the second race. The duo closed the regatta strong, posting consecutive sixth-place finishes in the final two races of the event.
In B Division, skipper
Caleb Kinnear and crew
Cameron Kinnear combined for 59 points, finishing inside the top 10 in six of eight races. The duo found its stride late in the regatta, taking third in the fifth race before following with back-to-back race wins in races six and seven.
BRUNSWICK, Maine – Rollins was also represented at the Women's ACC Round 1, hosted by Bowdoin. The showcase regatta took place on Harpswell Sound, with competitors racing 420s in a two-division scoring format.
Saturday opened with a moderate northwesterly breeze, allowing three races to be completed before one additional race was added later in the day. The breeze eventually faded, bringing the opening day to a close. Conditions picked back up Sunday with a northeast-to-east breeze ranging from 5–10 knots, allowing six additional races to be completed and bringing the weekend total to 10.
In A Division, skipper
Annie Samis and crew
Jane McKenzie combined for 89 points while recording six top-10 finishes. Their best result came with a runner-up finish in the fourth race, while the duo added another top-five showing in race eight.
The Tars tallied 103 points in B Division with
Adelaide Matzky serving as skipper throughout the regatta.
Mollie Wood joined Matzky as crew for the opening four and final four races, while
Soleil Aurignac stepped in for races five and six. Matzky and Wood collected five top-10 finishes together, highlighted by a pair of third-place results in races four and nine.
Rollins returns to the water next weekend, traveling to Jacksonville for the Dick Allsop Trophy, hosted by Jacksonville University.
