WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 5, 2025) – The Rollins men's lacrosse team survived a second-half comeback on Saturday and escaped with an 11-10 win in double overtime at Palm Beach Atlantic. The Tars improve to 5-7 overall, 2-2 in conference play, while the Sailfish drop to 3-5, 0-4 in SSC games.

Jack Johnstone, and
Max Armitage tallied two goals apiece, while
Nate Paulo chipped in with a goal and two assists.
Maxwell Beuck (5-7) played all 64:42 in goal, making 11 saves on 21 shots to secure the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter
- PBA opened the scoring at the 11:28 mark but Logan Myers quickly tied things up just 47 seconds later.
- After another Sailfish goal, the Tars rattled off four straight markers to go up 5-2 after one period.
Second Quarter
- Palm Beach Atlantic got back to within two early in the second, but Aaron Williams, Paulo, and Johnstone scored the next three goals to push the Rollins lead to 8-4.
- The Sailfish got one back to make it an 8-5 game at the half.
Third Quarter
- Avery Kamuf netted the lone Tar goal of the third as PBA scored twice to cut the deficit to 9-7 heading to the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
- Isenhour scored to make it 10-7 with 6:58 to go, but the Sailfish rallied to score three times, including the game-tying goal with just five seconds on the clock, knotting things up at 10.
Overtime
- The home team won the opening faceoff in overtime but PBA's first three shots missed the net and Beuck came up with a big save on the fourth attempt to keep the game tied.
- Neither side was able to get a shot off in the final three minutes of the period, sending the game to a second overtime.
Double Overtime
- In the second overtime period, PBA again won the faceoff and again fired multiple shots, but missed the net twice before another big save from Beuck gave the Tars possession.
- Rollins wasted no time as Armitage put home the game-winner with 2:19 on the clock, giving the Tars an 11-10 victory.
