ORLANDO, Fla. (March 4, 2025) - Women's tennis extended their winning streak to five games on Tuesday, cruising past the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds 4-0. The win moves Rollins to 6-3 on the season, while the Sunbirds fall to 3-8.

Sydney Eckstein had a clean 6-0 sweep of Gutierrez/Villagomez. On two,
Stella Fruijtier/
Nina Mitrofanova were 6-4 winners against Faherty/Munoz, giving the Tars the point. Court one was a tight matchup at 5-4 before it was abandoned.
Fruijtier took advantage of her time in the lineup, staying with the sweep theme by winning court six in singles, 6-0, 6-0 over Villagomez. It was her fourth win of the year, and third in a row.
Milla Falster was next in line for victory, commanding court three with a 6-2, 6-1 effort versus Munoz. The match then wrapped with Abdulloeva's 6-1, 6-3 triumph on number five against Mitchell. It was her seventh win of the year, and sixth in a row dating back to February 20. The Tars also held leads on courts one, two, and four when the match reached it's conclusion.
"I am proud of the team and how they performed today after a tough match yesterday," remarked head coach
Tasi Purcell Batista. "It's challenging when you have back-to-back matches, and the ladies adjusted well to the weather conditions. We look forward to our match this coming weekend."
She is referring to the Tars' next scheduled event against Southeastern University on Saturday, March 8. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 pm from the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
