ORLANDO, Fla. (March 24, 2025) - Women's tennis found themselves back in the win column with a 5-2 victory over Franklin Pierce University on Monday afternoon. The Tars move to 8-5 on the season, while the Ravens fall to 5-9.
Rollins made quick work of the doubles courts, sweeping all three matches.

Amina Taibi worked a 6-0 sweep on court one, as did

Stella Fruijtier on three.

Nina Mitrofanova also earned the win, finishing 6-4 on court two.
Franklin PIerce tied the match up with a 6-0, 6-0 win on number six. However, Rollins took the next three matches, clinching victory for the Tars. Mitrofanova took the win on two with a 6-1, 6-0 effort. Fruijtier was a 6-2, 6-0 winner on three.
Milla Falster had the clinching point on one, playing to a 6-3, 6-1 final.
The Tars earned one more point on the day when
Amina Abdulloeva captured number four with a 6-2, 6-2 final. Franklin Pierce ended the day with a win, an exciting three-setter between
Sydney Eckstein and Maria Paz Diaz that finished 6-0, 3-6, 10-2.
"I was very proud of the team win today," stated head coach
Tasi Purcell Batista. "Every position fought hard, and we are looking forward to the rest of the week."
Next up for the Tars is a SSC battle at Eckerd College on Wednesday, March 26. First serve is slated for 3:00 pm. It will be the Tars' first road match since February 9.
