ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 26, 2025) – The 25th-ranked Rollins women's tennis team defeated Eckerd on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 6-1. The Tars are now 9-5 overall, 2-3 in conference play, while the Tritons drop to 8-6 overall, 0-4 in SSC matches.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Doubles
Singles
- Taibi scored the first singles point with a 6-1, 6-3 win on court two, followed by a 6-2, 6-1 win on court three by Vlasova.
- Mitrofanova clinched the match with a 6-1, 7-5 victory on court five, while Falster made it 5-0 Tars with a 6-3, 7-6 (5) win on court four.
- Amina Abdulloeva gave the Tars their sixth point with a 6-1, 6-3 win on court six.
- Eckerd claimed the last point with a three-set win on court one, giving Rollins a 6-1 win.
"The team really showed up today for a conference win," said Head Coach
Tasi Purcell Batista. "Doubles started very solid, and it felt good to get all three lines as it is always important to get that point. We had a strong singles showing as well and we'll continue to put in the work!"

The Tars will return home to host Palm Beach Atlantic in another SSC match on Sunday, March 30th, beginning at 12 p.m. Sunday's match will take place at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs.
