Miami Shores, Fla. – Rollins dropped its Saturday matchup with No. 3 Barry in straight sets (11–25, 15–25, 24–26).
The Buccaneers came out strong in the opening frame, jumping to a 7–2 lead and minimizing errors to take control early. Barry carried that momentum into the second, while the Tars found more rhythm offensively behind Marta Tsaneva's attack, but couldn't overcome the deficit. Rollins responded in the third, grabbing the early advantage with a balanced effort from Tsaneva, Makayla Moran, and Elena Arnold. The Tars held the edge late before Barry used a three-point push to regain the lead and close out the sweep.
Tsaneva paced the Rollins offense with 11 kills on an impressive .556 hitting percentage. Moran added five kills on a clean, error-free performance, hitting .455 for the match. Fellow middle Robinson Repass turned in a strong showing at the net, finishing with four block assists and a .500 hitting mark of her own.
With the result, Rollins moves to 14–12 overall and 3–10 in SSC play, while Barry improves to 18–2 (11–2 SSC). The Tars return home to Warden Arena on Friday, Nov. 7, for a 7 p.m. matchup against SSC leader Tampa.
