Winter Park, Fla. – Rollins came out strong against No. 6 Lynn on Saturday afternoon but fell in straight sets (17–25, 23–25, 18–25) inside Warden Arena.
The Tars opened the match with confidence, using a balanced attack to grab a 9–6 lead early in the first. Lynn quickly regrouped, capitalizing on a late seven-point run to close out the opener. The Fighting Knights jumped ahead in the second, but Rollins battled back behind a Marta Tsaneva kill that sparked a six-point surge to even things at 20–20. Lynn answered with a pair of points to regain control and edge out the set. The third featured more back-and-forth play, as the Tars matched the defending national champions point for point until another late push gave Lynn the final margin.
Four different Tars posted six or more kills in the contest, led by Makayla Moran's seven on an efficient .500 hitting percentage. Vivian Scuteri anchored the front line with three assisted blocks and one solo, while libero Sarah Seabrooke continued her strong stretch of play, delivering four service aces and nine digs.
With the setback, Rollins moves to 11–6 overall and 0–4 in SSC play. The Tars will look to regroup on the road next Friday, Oct. 10, traveling to Lakeland for a 6 p.m. matchup against Florida Southern. Fans can find live stats and stream links on the Rollins Volleyball schedule page.
