HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Blue and Gold opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as Luke Dinges, Tully Njoroge, Michael Tucker, and William Slowey clocked a time of 1:32.18.
- Keanu Garner-Chan earned a win in the first individual event, posting a 9:50.06 in the 1000-yard freestyle.
- Dinges claimed third in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 51.18, while Njoroge took first place in the 100-yard breaststroke in 56.89.
- Slowey clocked a winning time of 20.56 in the 50-yard freestyle, with Trey Carter posting a win in the 100-yard freestyle in 46.34.
- Dinges touched the wall second in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:53.77, while Njoroge won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:04.41.
- Garnier-Chan posted a second-place time of 4:48.40 in the 500-yard freestyle, followed by a third-place finish for Jaswanth Yannam in the 100-yard butterfly (52.11).
- Slowey capped the individual events with a winning time of 1:54.36 in the 200-yard individual medley.
- The Tars closed the meet with a second-place 1:23.83 in the 200-yard freestyle relay, recorded by the quartet of Ben Robertson, Carter, Dinges, and Slowey.
UP NEXT:
Rollins will return to the pool on Friday, January 17 to host No. 12 Nova Southeastern at 1:30 p.m. The meet, which is the final home meet of the season for the Tars, will serve as Senior Day, with the team's seniors being honored prior to the meet.
