WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 8, 2024) - Women's tennis put up a fight, but came up just short against the visiting Davidson Wildcats (7-4) on Friday at the Bert Martin Complex. The loss drops Rollins to 4-5 on the season.
Davidson earned the first point of the match by sweeping all three doubles contests in order:

In singles play, the Wildcats took the drama out of the match by winning the first three matches:

However, the Tars came to play a full match, so the girls continued to play. Court two was the next to finish, with freshman
Nancy Liu securing a 7-5, 6-3 win over Savanna Kollock. Davidson took the next court, number five, as Kavya Patel defeated
Polina Ligay 7-6 (1), 6-4.
With both teams finished except the featured court, teammates gathered to watch the three set finale between Emma Heiderscheit and
Polina Vlasova. Set one went to Vlasova, 6-4 while set two went the Wildcat's way at 6-2. The two girls battled in the tiebreak set, with Vlasova coming out on top, 7-5. It was her fourth win of the year from singles one.
Next up for Rollins is a home match against #32 Mississippi College. First serve from Winter Park will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, March 11.
