WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 29, 2024) - Women's tennis suffered their second loss of the week to a ranked opponent, this time dropping amatch to the #7 Lynn Fighting Knights 6-1. The loss moves Rollins to 2-4 on the year.
The doubles courts finished in order. Lynn took court one in a 6-0 sweep, but the Tars were able to secure court two with a 6-3 effort from

Erin Yaroshuk. The deciding point went Lynn's way on court three as
Katie Groves/
Eve Wasil fell to Djoubri/Molina, 6-1.
Lynn's lead moved to 2-0 with a win by Salma Djoubri on court one against
Polina Vlasova. They also took courts three and six to go up 4-0 and clinch the match.
After Lynn captured court five as well,
Polina Ligay and Kristen Younes were locked into a close one on court four, but the Knight ultimately took the points 6-3, 7-5.
Nancy Liu put up a fantastic effort on court two, and helped Rollins avoid a shutout. After dropping the first set in a tiebreaker, Liu bounced back to capture set two 6-2, and then won the third set with a score of 10-8, giving her wins on both doubles and singles for the day.
Up next for Rollins is another match against a ranked opponent. This time it will be Charleston visiting Winter Park on Monday March 4. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
