WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 8, 2024) – The Rollins men's swimming team earned its third win of the season on Friday, besting Ave Maria by a score of 210-44. The Tars won all 14 events that were contested at the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The team of Luke Dinges, William Slowey, Evan McInerny, and Trey Carter won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:30.84 to open the day.
- Seth Basinger won the first individual event, the 1000-yard freestyle, in 9:42.76, while McInerny took first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:42.23.
- Slowey picked up a win in the 100-yard backstroke in 50.42, and Tully Njoroge followed that with a winning time of 57.78 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Michael Tucker won the 200-yard butterfly (1:57.43) and Carter grabbed first place in the 50-yard freestyle (21.24).
- McInerny got his second individual win with a 47.24 in the 100-yard freestyle, and Dinges picked up a victory in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:50.02.
- Njoroge touched the wall first in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:07.02, while Skylar Murphy placed first in the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.13).
- Slowey earned his second individual win of the day with a 50.35 in the 100-yard butterfly, and Basinger captured the final individual event with a 1:55.11 in the 200-yard individual medley.
- The quartet of Carter, Basinger, Dinges, and Slowey capped the day with a winning time of a 1:24.14 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
UP NEXT:
The Tars will return to action at the River Invitational, a midseason meet hosted by Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, which will take place November 21-23.
