Hutnick '79 Elected to New England Tennis Hall of Fame

Former Tar standout was a three-time All-American

NEWPORT, R.I. (June 20, 2023) - Former Rollins women's tennis player Felicia Hutnick was enshrined in the USTA New England Hall of Fame in a ceremony last week at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Rhode Island. Hutnick was one of four honorees at the event.

Hutnick grew up in Connecticut, where she was a standout junior player. Her success led her to Rollins, where she was a four-year letterwinner for the Tars. During her time in Winter Park, Hutnick was selected as a D-I All-American three times, and was named the school's Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1979. 

She would go on to play professionally on the WTA tour. During her career, she rose as high as #91 in the world rankings. Hutnick competed in seven majors during her career, including the US Open, Wimbledon, and the Australian Open. She also took home victories at the Avon Futures, Citrus Bowl, and Viceroy Doubles Championship. 

Hutnick is a member of the Rollins Hall of Fame, where she was inducted in 1989.
