OSPREY, Fla. (April 9, 2023) - Weather wreaked havoc on the final day of the Harvard Invitational, leading to a nine-hole third round. Rollins, who entered Sunday in fifth-place, showed well against Division I competition.
Katharina Hesse played incredibly well, placing second overall in the individual standings.

Rollins turned in a 297 score in round one, tying with Boston University for fifth-place overall. Hesse led the Tars with a two-under 70 in her round that included five birdies.
Carla Alvarez also played strong with a 73 (+1). She turned in a card with three birdies.
Tove Rosengren and
Berni Villalba each scored a 77, and
Elizabeth Kondal finished with a 78.
In round two, Hesse posted a score of 73 (+1). She shot a two-under 34 on the back nine, but struggled on the front with four bogeys and a 39 (+3). Kondal was equally impressive in round two with a 73 as well. She scored par on 14 of the 18 holes and also had two birdies. Alvarez had a 75 (+3) in her second go round. As a team, Rollins had a score of 301 in the second round, keeping them in fifth place.
Round three on Sunday was cut short due to inclement weather and travel plans from the many northeast teams in the field. Hesse was in the midst of a strong bogey-free performance, cutting her to score to -4 overall when play was suspended. This put her tied for second-place overall alongside Catherine Rao of Princeton. As a squad, Rollins also shot the low round on the day with a team score of 140. Alvarez shot a 35 (-1), Rosengren and Kondal each shot even par (36), and Villalba checked in with a 37 (+1).
This was the final tune-up for the Tars before jumping into the SSC championship next week. That event will be played April 16-18 at Lake Jovita South in Dade City, Florida.
