WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 18, 2023) - Rollins wrapped up their regular season at home on Tuesday, falling to the #3 ranked Saint Leo Lions 7-0. Rollins is now 6-10 on the year, with a 2-7 record in SSC play.
Down a pair of players, Rollins rolled out three doubles groups that had not played much this season. The result was a three-court sweep for the Lions, giving them the first point of the match.
Singles play did not prove to be much different as Saint Leo controlled the action on all six courts. Senior
Natalia Collado Cordon, playing in her last home match, lost on court five 6-4, 6-0. The Tars other senior,
Georgina Groth, was not able to compete due to injury.
Rollins will roll into the Sunshine State Conference tournament on Thursday as the #8 seed, matching up with the #1 seed and #1 nationally ranked Barry Bucs. The tournament will be played at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
