WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 21, 2023) - Rollins is back on the right side of the win column following their 5-2 home win against Tufts on Tuesday. The Tars now stand at 6-5 on the year.
It was Tufts starting the day with the first point, taking two of three matches in doubles play. After
Georgina Groth/
Katie Groves took court one by a score of 6-2, Tufts secured the win on number two. That put all eyes on court three where
Milla Falster/
Erin Yaroshuk battled hard, but ultimately fell by a 7-5 score.
Rollins got the first singles point of the day on court six when Yaroshuk's opponent had to retire from the match. That was followed by a smooth 6-1, 6-3 win on the first court courtesy of Groth. Groves matched her doubles partner with a hard-fought win on court two, 7-5, 7-5.
The Jumbos went down swinging, and were able to claim victory on court four. That would be the end of the line though as Rollins secured the match with a
Polina Vlasova win on number three, 6-4, 6-2. Falster then wrapped up the day with a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 victory on court five.
Next up for Rollins is a big match at home against Embry-Riddle. The two SSC foes will faceoff on Friday, March 24. First serve is scedhuled for 3:00 PM.
