WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 25, 2023) - Rollins won their third straight match of the year in impressive fashion, taking down Bates 6-1 on Saturday. Rollins now stands at 4-1 on the season.
The Tars claimed all three doubles points with

Mikkel Baumann taking court one 6-1,
Luke Quaynor/
Moritz Stenzer taking court two 6-4, and
Phillip McMurray/
Charlie Putrino taking court three 6-3.
Head coach
Jay Friedman ran a new look to his singles lineup, but still found success. Quaynor played from first position for the first time this year, and won 6-3, 6-1. Comu, seeing time from singles two, made light work of his opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Baumann was the only Tar to lose his singles match, playing from court three. He and Leo Kupferman battled it out to extra time, with the Bobcat taking the match 6-4, 3-6 ,14-12.
The lower half of the ladder was all Rollins as
Richard Stoiberer, Stenzer, and McMurray all claimed victory to give the Tars a 6-1 win.
"Always a tough, well fought match vs Bates. They are extremely well coached and disciplined, but today our crowd was electric and the atmosphere got our guys going," stated Friedman. "We took control and never gave in. It was a solid match all around and I very much look forward to seeing our guys perform well this upcoming week with an evening match on Tuesday (against Salem, 6:15 PM) followed by a quick turnaround right into another conference match Wednesday afternoon (Eckerd, 3:00 PM).
