Box Score WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 12, 2023) – The Rollins women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 defeat to No. 1 Barry on Sunday morning at Copeland Stadium. The loss evens the Tars' record at 1-1 on the year and 1-1 in conference play, while the Bucs improve to 4-0 overall, 3-0 in SSC matches.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Doubles
- Maria McKay and Milla Falster put up a fight on court two in doubles, but ultimately fell by a 7-5 score to Alloiarova and Gasparin as the Bucs swept all three doubles matches.
Singles
- Barry continued to find success in singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets.
- Polina Vlasova pushed Xiyao Wang to a tiebreak on court two, but came up short by a score of 7-6 (2), 6-1.
- Erin Yaroshuk battled Versier at number six singles, falling 7-5, 6-3.
UP NEXT:
The Tars will travel to St. Augustine on Tuesday, Feb. 16 to face No. 5 Flagler. The match is slated for 2 p.m.
