BOCA RATON, Fla. (Oct. 28, 2023) – The Rollins men's swimming team fell to 1-4 on the season with a 145-117 loss at Lynn on Saturday. The Fighting Knights evened their mark at 1-1 with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tars opened the day with a second-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay, with the team of Luke Dinges, William Slowey, Michael Tucker, and Seth Basinger clocking a time of 3:28.82, finishing just ahead of the quartet of Nicholas Bonta, Patrick Lester, Ethan Carr, and Richard Riley, who finished third in 3:36.60.
- Seth Basinger took second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:53.76.
- Trey Carter also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:45.07.
- Skylar Murphy made it three straight runner-up finishes for the Tars with a second-place time of 53.44 in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Slowey took home the first event win of the day for the Tars with a winning time of 57.20 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Dinges made it back-to-back wins as he touched first in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:51.96.
- Tully Njoroge (22.06) kept the win streak going as he won the 50-yard freestyle, while Tucker (22.22) finished third.
- Slowey earned his second win of the day with a time of 46.75 in the 100-yard freestyle, while Njoroge (48.06) took third.
- Murphy (1:57.19) got event win number five when he placed first in the 200-yard backstroke, with teammate Bonta (1:59.53) taking third.
- Basinger registered his second runner-up finish of the day with a time of 4:49.63 in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Dinges (50.50) and Carr (54.36) took second and third, respectively, in the 100-yard butterfly.
- The Blue and Gold capped the day by taking two of the top three spots in the 400-yard freestyle relay – the team of Njoroge, Dinges, Basinger, and Slowey won the race in 3:09.12, while the group of Riley, Carr, Keanu Garnier-Chan, and Tucker placed third in 3:16.63.

The Tars will be back at home next Saturday, Nov. 4, when they host Barry at 12 p.m. Next week's meet will also be Family Weekend at the Alfond Swimming Pool.
