SAVANNAH, Ga. (Jan. 7, 2023) – The Rollins men's swimming team fell to SCAD Savannah, the fifth-ranked team in the NAIA, by a score of 158-96 on Saturday. The Tars dropped to 1-6 on the season, while the Bees improved to 2-0 in dual meets.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tars opened the meet with a third-place result in the 400-yard medley relay, with Jac Reville, Tully Njoroge, Michael Tucker, and William Slowey clocking a time of 3:36.87.
- Cameron Dolly took third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:19.00.
- Chance Ricca added another third-place finish for Rollins as he posted a time of 1:46.90 in the 200-yard freestyle.
- Skylar Murphy finished the 100-yard backstroke with a third-place time of 54.66.
- Michael Tucker got the first second-place finish of the day for Rollins in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:01.66, while Diego Spielmann was close behind with a third-place time of 2:01.82.
- Cruse Sweeney clocked a 22.01 in the 50-yard freestyle to take third.
- Connor Xu touched the wall third in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:12.07.
- Ricca registered his second third-place finish of the day with a 4:55.61 in the 500-yard freestyle.
