WINTER PARK, Fla. (June 2, 2022) – The Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced its All-America Teams late Wednesday night, and
Jaylyn Whitehead was listed on the All-America Second Team. On Thursday afternoon, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced its All-America Teams, with Whitehead earning recognition on the All-America First Team.
For Whitehead, this marks his first two All-America selections, with the ABCA yet to release its All-America teams. The graduate student from Ocoee was one of the top pitchers in the country this year, currently ranking first in NCAA II in ERA (1.60) and third in WHIP (0.93), while also ranking second in the conference in wins (10) and hits allowed/9 innings (6.22) and seventh in the league in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.88).
