SAINT LEO, Fla. (April 8, 2022) – The 18th-ranked Rollins men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at third-ranked Saint Leo on Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Tars fall to 7-6 overall, 2-5 in SSC play, while the Lions improve to 16-3, 4-2 in conference matches.

"It's safe to say we didn't play our best today, but I was really happy for Denis to get over the hump and find a win over Faletto," Head Coach
Jay Friedman said. "And of course I was really proud of Efe and Mikkel for taking out the number five doubles team in the country, it was a good effort and quite a back-and-forth set."
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Doubles
- Saint Leo won the doubles point with victories on courts two and three, but the 25th-ranked tandem of Efe Comu and Mikkel Baumann fought to earn a 7-5 win on court one over fifth-ranked Bruno Faletto and Willem Van Den Akker.
Singles
- The Lions took the matches on courts five, three, and two, respectively, to clinch the match.
- Saint Leo also got wins on courts six and four, but Golubev, the No. 6 singles player in the country, continued to battle on court one. He eventually took down fifth-ranked Faletto, 7-6 (5), 1-6, 10-8, in the final match of the day.

The Tars will play their final road contest of the 2022 regular season on Sunday when they travel to St. Augustine to take on No. 10 Flagler at 2 p.m.
