WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 3, 2022) – The 29th-ranked Rollins women's tennis team pulled off a 4-3 upset over 15th-ranked Flagler on Sunday afternoon. The win puts the Tars at 10-6 on the year, while the Saints drop to 8-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Doubles
- Flagler grabbed the doubles point, sweeping all three matches.
Singles
- The Tars quickly tied things up as Georgina Groth easily dispatched fifth-ranked Luisa Hrda, 6-1, 6-1 on court one.
- Alexandra Borg put Rollins ahead with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Eden Schlagenhauf on court two.
- Kaitlynn Groves made it 3-1 Tars with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Alessandra Traub on court three.
- The Saints cut the lead to 3-2 with a win on court four, but Erin Yaroshuk was able to clinch the match on court six, downing Addison Skye Breunich, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3.
- Natalia Collado Cordon put up a strong fight on court five, but ultimately fell to Florencia Massardo Brain in the final match of the day, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-5.
