WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 23, 2022) – The No. 13 Tars celebrated the careers of eight seniors on a day where they defeated the Florida Tech Panthers, 16-15. The Tars close the regular season at 12-2, and 5-2 in Sunshine State Conference play. The No. 12 Panthers fall to 10-5 overall, and 5-2 against conference foes.

Marshall Ellison led Rollins with three goals.Â
Bailey Pringle also added a hat trick, while dishing out a pair of assists, good for five total points, giving him 100 points in his Rollins career.Â
Jack Johnstone also notched three scores, while
Finn Jent and
Justin White each scored twice out of the midfield.Â
Justin Isenhour led the defense with four caused turnovers.Â
Mark Ranieri and
Thomas Garvin helped the Tars go 19-34 at the faceoff spot.Â
Patrick Thomas made six saves in goal for Rollins.

The Panthers got hat tricks from Zach Rozgonyi, Justin Williams, and Bennett Duffy, to lead them in scoring.  Rozgonyi added three assists, for a game high six points. John Hulsman made 11 saves in goal for Florida Tech.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter
- The Florida Tech got on the board with two scores early.
- Jack Johnstone found the back of the net first for Rollins, scoring on an assist from behind the goal off the stick of Grant Hansen.
- The Panthers tallied their third goal, putting Rollins back down a pair.
- Marshall Ellison would dodge from X and score the Tars, before Bailey Pringle fed Johnstone for the freshman's second, knotting the game at 3-3.
- The Panthers would grab control late in the period, closing the opening stanza with three unanswered goals.
Second Quarter
- Ellison sliced through the Panthers defense to open the second quarter, and start a four goal run for Rollins.
- Johnstone, Justin White, and Pringle completed the run, giving the Tars a 7-6 lead.
- The two teams would trade goals late in the period with the Panthers taking at 8-7, but Finn Jent pushed the Tars back level.
- Justin White would close the half, dodging from behind and scoring on a low to high shot, giving the Tars a 9-8 lead at the break.
Third Quarter
- Florida Tech opened the half with a score, but Rollins would answer with three consecutive goals to grow their lead to 12-9. Ellison started the scoring, before a, highlight reel, around the world goal from Connor Coltharp and a diving effort from Pringle.
- The Panthers scored with five minutes left in the period, but Pringle found a cutting Peyton Miller to maintain Rollins three goal lead.
- Florida Tech would score once more before the buzzer to send the two teams to the final period at 13-11.
Fourth Quarter
- Florida Tech tallied twice to tie the game at 13-13.
- Jent ripped a deep bounce shot to give Rollins the lead back.
- The Panthers tallied quick back-to-back goals to pull ahead, at 15-14, with just 4:32 on the clock.
- Zane Williams dodged down the alley and fired a low shot into the corner of the net, scoring the equalizer.
- Pringle stung a top corner to tally the game winner for the Tars with just 2:38 on the clock.
- Charlie Rask caused a turnover on the next Panther possession, and Rollins ran out the final minutes, securing the win.

The Tars will prepare for the SSC Championships, which will take place on campus sites, with Semifinal action starting on Thursday, April 28.
